I love all my Rangefinders

Great collection, and a great picture.

I noticed the Hexar (AF) in the corner - a unique camera in many ways, and one which I took a lot of great pictures with. I managed to wear three of them out. Still miss it.

How do you get on with the ZM?

Man, I'd struggle to choose which one to use, they're all rather appealing.

Good for you!

I use rangefinder 35mm (Leica), 4x5 (Linhof Super Technika), and range-focus in Veriwide (both versions), Horseman (35mm lens over 6x12), and some oddballs. I have had no SLRs for thirty years.

Thanks for the comments

I get on with the Zeiss Ikon very well. It's a great camera, and light too - but well made. the best thing about it is the viewfinder which must be the best of any rangefinder camera - and the separate, free standing 35 and 50 framelines which I like

I bought it instead of an M7. But, and I know this is crazy, I liked it so much I ended up getting an M7. I mean I appreciated using auto so much on the ZI, I wondered what my M6 would be with it...

I picked up a used M6 0.58 TTL I saw, as I thought it would be good with wide lenses. Then I saw an M7 0.85, and thought what a good companion, and I traded I the M6 classic in this photo for it.

So the photo above is already out of date as I have added 2 new Leicas. My favourite three cameras are now the M6 TTL, M7 and ZI, although I have to say for specialist use the R3M (using only a 50mm or 75 lens) and the R4A (using a s1 or 25mm lens) are fantastic. It's not possible for me to love only one rangefinder, each has its special qualities, so I can't help picking them up

Digby, if you check this photo on my flickr site there are notes identifying each camera and lens:
