I like the approach 28mm (f2.8) , and 35mm (f2) and M8.2 in a small bag.....I am pushing next week in the same direction (21mm (f3.4), 35mm (f2) and 50mm (f1) plus a 75mm (f1.4) ...all in a small bag that just fits with my with M8.

I could leave some lenses at home and include M6 but why? I see that the 21mm would yield a super wide angle (ie not a cropped 28mm) and maybe it gives a backup if the M8 fails but do I need it? Philosophically I am from the school that a 35mm plus 90mm is on a FFrame camera what any photographer needs to travel the world. If you can add a super wide it adds some extra dimsension. That is where I am coming from at least.

What is a TC-1 ? Is that a Leica product or an offering that can fit the M mount from some other supplier?

Good call Andy. Have you considered a Lens Carrier-M for your twin-lens combo? I've had one in the past and am thinking of picking one up for my MP. Nice the TC-1 getting a mention too; a much under-rated bit of kit, and it gives you the 28mm if needed. How do you get on with the Waterhouse stops? I've recently snagged a Rollei 35 for similar purposes, just running the first roll through now.

Regards,

Bill
