voe Posted November 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Two days ago I got a missed call from the shop where I ordered the new 35mm Summilux. When I called back on the next day they told me the lens has arrived. Oh, what a joy!! I was speeding on the freeway, because I was so excited, and could wait to see it, when police stopped me and asked my why I was speeding. Aplogeticaly I explained why and the police let me go with just a warning. Wow! I couldn't believe it. After I got the lens I went to Townsville (a suburb of Melbourne) to take photos some photos and these bellow are my first meaningfull ones (apart the ones I took while waiting in a traffic jam): L1048223 The photo bellow is the only one I played with in Lightroom. All the rest are just exports from RAW all taken at f/1.4. L1048192 L1048258 L1048285

stuny Posted November 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 28, 2010 Very nice, especially #3. I think #2 could use some while balance.
drdannn Posted November 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 30, 2010 I like # 3 because it tells a story. It is also perfect insofar as your DOF. The color rendition is right for the interior, and it is not over-processed. Good one.
Ernstblofeld Posted December 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 1, 2010 No. 3 is the best. Great mood and colours. Ernstblofeld
euston Posted December 3, 2010 Share #6 Posted December 3, 2010 A most enjoyable set. I especially like the boatbuilder shot. The white balance is a bit warm for my taste but I like your composition and use of depth of field. You’ve depicted the concentration of the craftsman amid the jumble of his workshop very nicely. Good job!
biglouis Posted December 5, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 5, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lovely set. Although #1 exhibits the best out of the lens I really like #3 the most.
