We had two "true" Leica MPs in the Fontenelle Collection : a black enamelled MP-126 and a chrome MP-169. The black one has always been our favourite and further, it came with a rare accessory. Here are the pictures. Nothing special to say about the camera, manufactured in 1956. Most interesting is the black enamelled METRA Leicameter MC. This accessory is said "known" by Laney, and is only illustrated in Lager (Accessories) who says that few were made to fit black painted MP and M3, Even more interesting is the black MBOOW-C booster for the MC : as far as we know, it has never been illustrated or even quoted. The only illustration of a black booster similar to ours is to be found in Lager (Accessories, pages 242 and 243), but it is the "vertical" version for the tiny Leica-Meter 2. Ours is the one specifically made for "horizontal" mount on the MC, as evidenced by the "rails" visible on our photo showing the back of the cell. And this rare booster cell came even with its incident light mask!
