Instead of buying that new camera which promises to turn your next snap into a masterpiece or blockbuster, head to the streets and stores with the camera you already have. Take pictures of capitalism at its best and worst. The practice will do more to add to your skills than grabbing your wallet, and you'll be richer, not poorer, at the end of the day. Happy Shooting! Bells and whistles make noise, not pictures. On the other hand, there are two kinds of "capitalist" enterprise: Most produce in order to make money. Some make money in order to produce things they have their heart in. Only the first type is capitalist in any real sense. The other type produces the innovations -- and the quality. Leica is a Type Two company. I know because I worked for many years in a Type Two company. We made the money we had to make in order to create products we believed should be produced.
