Hansel Posted November 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've just gotten a D-Lux 5 today, and I am a very happy boy, indeed! But what is bothering me is the lens cover issue.. I don't really like the need to clip and unclip the cover every time I take a shot.. So I'll like to ask for your expertise, if the Ricoh LC1 cap works on the D-Lux 5 (as it has worked on the D-Lux 4 previously..) Please do advise me and let me know if there are any alternatives to it. Thanks

Rusted Chrome Posted November 23, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 23, 2010 I bought this "JJC Auto Lens Cap" for my D-lux 5. It works perfectly.
farnz Posted November 23, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2010 I bought this "JJC Auto Lens Cap" for my D-lux 5. It works perfectly. Same here. It fits into the DL4's tan leather case and gets rid of the irritating message when you've turned the camera on but forgotten to remove the lens cap. Pete. regedit Posted November 24, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2010 one question, Pete. this model from JJC need modification to remove "shadow" at full zoom as ricoh model? I had that problem with the Ricoh LC-1 cap on the D-Lux 4 but not with this one on the D-Lux 5. Pete.

RFly2Dive Posted January 30, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 30, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I got one also and like if very much. Just remember to unscrew the camera's lens thread protector at the front of the lens and the JCC automatic lens cap screws right on in its place. I then attached the original lens cap to the removed thread protector and stored them both in my Leica's box so I don't lose either.
