JBA Posted November 26, 2010 Share #21 Posted November 26, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have the 90 Summicron-R (Canada -- the Mandler design) and also the AA 90 Summicron-M in black paint (solid brass -- it's a beast!). Both are outstanding, though for some tastes the Apo Asph version could be considered a bit too "clinical" (to put Andy Piper's observation in different terms). It is very sharp and the bokeh is quite smooth. By contrast, the non-asph version renders with a more 3-D effect and spherical abberation apparent in the bokeh.
