Hello, I registered here in the hope that I may be able to get some help from forum members' vast knowledge :).

I've got a 9cm F4 Elmar from 1950. I wish to find a way to attach its lens head to a Novoflex bellows that has a Leica 39mm mount, while keeping the added extension to a minimum. While researching this issue, I've heard about the OUAGO and the UOOWV or 16585 (from another thread here), the Novoflex LEIEL adapter, etc. In the interest of full disclosure, this bellows will be used in front of a Nikon digital camera. I do own a screw-mount camera, so this lens may even spend some time on that. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

Uhm... you have a bellows with a female 39x1 mount, right ? By sure you can mount the Elmar 90 head through the short mount COOED...(which indeed is not SO short).

I haven't the UOOWV you quote (part of the UOOTG set), by I suspect, from the detailed description, that its male screw mount is not 39x1, but the larger one you have in front of the Leitz bellows.

May I add some precisions: the COOED mount is difficult to find so it is expensive. UOOWV or 16585 is more common but thicker than the LEIEL from Novoflex.

As you have the Novoflex bellows you can use the LEIEL mont for your Elmar. It looks like this and is 6 mm thick (without male 39 thread mm mount) It has the precise thread for the lens head.

Zephyr: yes, the bellows have a female M39x1mm thread. I think you're right, the LEIEL would fit. Best of all, it would add only 6mm extension. I would like to able to focus from infinity to 1:1.

Luigi: thank you, I feel welcome already.:)

Yes, on 16558 you can mount Elmar 90 lenshead (and Elmarit 90's too) ; it was standard on the Bellows II, so if you find one is very probable it is included. Of course, you need the capability to mount Bellows II on your body... it has a male Leica M bayonet, being made for Visoflex II/III
