ptarmigan Posted November 11, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2010 It must be childishly simple - how do I export actions from CS4 to insert them into CS5? Ha ha....... not just me who can't to simple stuff then. Find the file where the actions are stored (in CS4). The open CS 5. Go to actions. Select Load Actions. It should do so fine. I'm on a mac and I assume it'll be the same on pc though where they are stored will be different.

ptarmigan Posted November 11, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 11, 2010 On my mac its in: user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/...CS5/Presets/Actions There's a CS4 folder in there too. Correction..... Pretty sure you'll need Applications/APCS5 (or 4)/Presets/Actions. There's a load of .atn files in there. Sorry for the false alarm!
Shootist Posted November 11, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 11, 2010 Do a search for .ATN files. This will give you the location of the CS4 and CS5 action folders. On Windows there are actually 2 of them for each version of PS. One is in the user area and the other in the main program folder. I copy/save all my actions to the main program Actions folder. Then you have to "Load" your actions into the program.
