Stop-over in Solms

Just a small story:

I got a used Noctilux 1.0 last year in Munich. Over the time i realized a focus-issue - nothing serious just a bit out-of focus. When I was in Frankfurt last week, I called Leica and asked, if we could adjust my M8 and the Noctilux and get an overall check. The kind woman at the front-desk (Mrs. MacPherson) offered to get it coded and adjusted all-together. I agreed and the other day I went to Solms. I mean, what a nice feeling. If there is something wrong with my gear, I can just call up real people, not just a call center. And I can go there and talk to someone. When I entered the building, the very same kind women was sitting behind the desk, welcoming me. She called a technician - with a proper white coat, who came to talk to me directly.

I think that kind of service is brilliant. It is, what I want. Talking to real people and not to an anonymous call center. It is not cheap, we do know that, but I liked it very much.

My M8 and my lenses are now in their hands, and hopefully, I get them back soon...
