Guest user62134 Posted October 23, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2010 Paul, The first was outstanding with the leaves changing for Fall, then the b&w gives it that other look, as if posted in a history book, Job well done ! After too many years of trying ____ I hope to get to where you are today. David
pauledell Posted October 23, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted October 23, 2010 David, Thank you for your kind remarks. I don't recall seeing any of your pictures but to achieve successful photography requires a lot of hard work and experimenting. Perhaps you are taking fine pictures already. Please feel free to post those you feel are your best. Paul
57andrew Posted October 24, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 24, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like both but lean towards the BW. Somehow the grey of the walls has more impact for me in BW. Nicely composed too.
Akemi-M Posted October 24, 2010 Share #8 Posted October 24, 2010 Paul, I really like the B & W version, the contrast is really adds impact, without being too stark. I also like the inclusion of the bench which ads scale to the image. Well done. Best regards, Robert

gjames9142 Posted October 24, 2010 Share #10 Posted October 24, 2010 Interesting that they built the chimney, or at least the outside of it, in wood. I have never seen this before. Normally it would be all field stone. It's even smaller than my log house in Quebec.
pauledell Posted October 25, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted October 25, 2010 Geoffrey, An interesting observation. I wonder about the same thing. Perhaps this is not as exact a replica as they say it is. Paul
vdb Posted October 26, 2010 Share #12 Posted October 26, 2010 The B&W version is perfection. So well done Paul.

allamande Posted October 27, 2010 Share #15 Posted October 27, 2010 I'm with him. And, I am with them Paul, comparing it to the bench next to it, it almost looks like a doll house (cabin?). Very interesting to see this. Ece
pauledell Posted October 28, 2010 Author Share #16 Posted October 28, 2010 Ece, Thanks for your interest. Yes the cabin is very small, but according to the information from a plaque, this is supposed to be an exact replica. I leave that up to the experts. I am glad I don't have to live in it.
