coup de foudre Posted October 15, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 15, 2010 lovely review! if i had known you were writing about it, i would have sent you one of the pics i have of you using it it really is a lovely lens to use and i keep on hoping to find one myself... i would have to have the close focus adjusted, though, as the limit on my Nocti drives me mad! being able to get to .8m is a big deal on such a fast lens. menos I M6 Posted October 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 15, 2010 Thanks Yanidel for the nice and very comprehensive blog post! I enjoyed it, as I do your regular Parisien photographic dose via RSS feed ;-) When I inquired for something faster for the M, during my Lux was at Solms, a 60 Hexanon has been offered to me. As I found, that indeed, it did not necessarily made for an upgrade of light collection over my existing Lux, I rejected the friendly offer over a nights sleep. As it went, I got a Noctilux f1 a few days later, which I truly love, as it also is a real speed upgrade over the f1.4 50mm. Not long after, I had the opportunity, to get a Noct-Nikkor for Nikon F mount, which indeed injected a still lasting lust after other fast lenses around - specifically the 60 Hexanon. I will see, how the journey ends. My favorite, not having had the chance, to try out the Hexanon so far clearly is the Noct-Nikkor, which in contrast though is very difficult to focus, compared to a fast rangefinder lens. Fast lenses indeed have that something, to get addicted ;-)

Rick Posted October 16, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 16, 2010 Very nice review. You might want to correct the text for the 10th picture in your review. One of the lenses in the picture is labeled incorrectly... it is actually a 50mm Lux-M ASPH. No big deal.

ndjambrose Posted October 17, 2010 Share #8 Posted October 17, 2010 Terriffic review. You might consider writing more of them, as I think you're good at it. BTW - small point, but some of your images are linked incorrectly. A couple bring up different images from the thumbnail, or only the low res version instead of hi res. BTW - small point, but some of your images are linked incorrectly. A couple bring up different images from the thumbnail, or only the low res version instead of hi res. Thanks for the heads up. I fixed it ... i believe (some pictures were supposed not to bring up any high res up). As for more reviews ... my other lenses are not so uncommon, so there are already plenty on them.
