Censorship

It would appear that the recent thread regarding an S2 for sale on the website has been removed in it's entirety.

During that discussion two parties went back and forth regarding censorship with the LUF moderator strongly objecting to the use of the word censorship.

Is not deleting a discussion in progress censorship?

Nothing a moderator could do would constitute censorship. Anyone is free to express him or herself, just not necessarily using this forum as the medium. We are all just guests here after all.

I started the thread. I moderated it.

Moderators are not prepared to have members attacking others in such a way. It wasn't a discussion any more, it was hijacked by someone.

It's not censorship, it's moderation. Some members find self-moderation a problem, so moderators have to do it on their behalf.

Jeffacne,

Please give the Mods a break; they give up their own time for a thankless task for free and imho get the delicate balance between offending the one versus offending the many pretty much right. Andy's explained his decision so we should respect it and move on.

Pete.
