Ernstblofeld Posted October 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I shot these photos in Hong Kong. Sotheby's was exhibiting James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 and I brought my M9 with 50 Lux. The photo with the model was taken at ISO1600, f/6.7, 1/30s. likalar Posted October 6, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2010 Very nicely done! I was nearly afraid to open this, for fear it might be the batmobile. Larry

stuny Posted October 6, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2010 Now your Forum name makes more sense than ever. Beautiful shots, beautiful subjects. I believe that they used three identical DB5s for the two films, and this one is the only survivor.
Ernstblofeld Posted October 6, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted October 6, 2010 I am a James Bond fan and Aston Martin owner. So when I received this invitation I could not pass of course. You are well documented. This one is the only survivor, used as a road car in Goldfinger and retrofitted with gadgets for Thunderball. All gadgets "work" (i.e can be extended/displayed at the push of a button in the armrest) and the car fires instantly when started (they started twice in the evening and the music of the engine is gorgeous). The car will be auctionned in London end of this month. Expected price: 5 million euros... Anybody interested? Ernst
Ernstblofeld Posted October 29, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted October 29, 2010 Just for the record: the car was sold yesterday for US$4.6 millions. Here is a photo of the dinner thrown after the exhibition in Hong Kong. M9 Lux 50 ISO1600 f/3.4 1/25s
