Shooting me, shooting you

At my age, I love to have the twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings pointing a camera in my direction.

Why?

It means I'm still alive and on this side of the sod in the cemetery.

Cheers! And Y'all keep shootin' me!

Andrew -

In sydney on the Tuesday of the Melbourne Cup we found people almost falling over themselves to be in my photos.

True, I've got a couple of these shots myself.

Now go to Warringah (or any) Mall. Or Paddy's Markets. Or Bondi Beach. Or Coogee Beach. Or Martin Place at lunchtime. Or (shiver) Haldon Street in Lakemba...

Need I go on?... :?)

Having lived in New York City all my life, I have to assume that I've been in numerous shots. I just don't know if I've ever been the primary subject. It's almost impossible to walk around midtown Manhattan without seeing hundreds of camera-toting toursts snapping away. The odds of not being caught on film/sensor during the past 60 years would be pretty high.

The only way that I would object to being the subject of a shot is if it was in some way demeaning or embarassing. Other than that, I can't very well object to someone else for doing the same thing that I do.

Keith - I'm with you the whole way. I spend a lot of time trying to show how little man-made CO2 there is in the atmosphere - 17,000 scientists have now signed the anti- Kyoto protocol but boy is ther ea lot of inertia. Politicians are the worst. I recently met some who couldn't believe how little the anthropogenic CO2 is in the air. They shrugged their shoulders and said. "I hope you're right. "Hell , do they never check anything ?
