PayPerView Posted September 29, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted September 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I ordered and received a strap from Leica Goodies a couple of months ago and finally decided to change from my beloved Luigi strap. Â I could not be happier with this product and wanted to share with other members to check it out. (I'm not affiliated with the company at all by the way). Â Here's the info on it (I also ordered The Hook): Â Made from the most durable Nylon and built to resist mountain climbing loads this rock solid 48" loop (when laid down its 24" in length) will carry your Leica safely and keep it ready for action at hip's height. The STRAP is worn obliquely across your chest for best comfort and protection. With the camera HOOKed onto the STRAP's polished key chain ring it will slide to your eye with one swift movement. While you may unhook the camera at any time (or attach it directly to the STRAP without a HOOK in between), this set up will allow for any kind of handheld shooting, providing extra fail safe security at any time. Be at total ease while swapping lenses, changing rolls or just let the camera slide back into a waist bag for added protection. The STRAP comes in black with bright orange pin stripes. coup de foudre Posted September 29, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted September 29, 2010 that's great to hear! Â there is also the SLING which is available for all those that think the finger strap on the M9Ti was a cool idea (and a much less expensive option ). earleygallery Posted September 29, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted September 29, 2010 Shall I pop open the champagne?
Nicoleica Posted September 29, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted September 29, 2010 After looking at the details of the items in question, my first (printable) thought is that they might do an excellent job of removing paint from your camera. Lots of potential metal-to-metal contact.
PayPerView Posted September 29, 2010 Author Share #6 Â Posted September 29, 2010 After looking at the details of the items in question, my first (printable) thought is that they might do an excellent job of removing paint from your camera. Lots of potential metal-to-metal contact. Â I guess? But not an issue for me how I use it..but I am pretty drunk from the champagne I popped with EarleyGallery to be sure. Â It's a perfect strap to add to my collection of straps, cases, back packs, and cameras. Â No one strap is perfect for me for every situation but for walking around doing street photography, my hand never leaves the camera and when I'm done for the day, it goes into my backpack. Â Just an interesting option, especially with The Hook that they sell.

kanzlr Posted September 30, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted September 30, 2010 I have the strap, sling and hook and they are nice and useful, but the sling doesn't work with half cases and the strap is too long for me...They are also too modern looking for my taste and the straps are a bit rough, the sling at least. Rik Posted October 17, 2010 Share #9  Posted October 17, 2010 that's great to hear! there is also the SLING which is available for all those that think the finger strap on the M9Ti was a cool idea (and a much less expensive option ).  Just to set the record straight: the Sling has been around for a number of years, so way before the M9Ti. The 'cool idea' was already there!

The 'cool idea' was already there! sorry i didn't make that clear... i have pointed everyone your way who thought the finger strap on the M9Ti was so novel  (to clarify: the Sling most definitely was!) RobertotheToad Posted October 18, 2011 Share #11 Â Posted October 18, 2011 I bought both the Sling and the Shade for my M9. My biggest complaint is that the quality of the Leica Goodies products just isn't up to Leica quality standards. The Shade has unfinished edges, and the Sling is just a piece of web strap with some holes punched in it and a single key ring to hold it on. After using 3rd party Leica accessories form Match Technical, I had high hopes for these things. I suppose you get what you pay for.
