Was he Renato Gorni ? (Sincere apologies if I've got the surname wrong.)

Yes, he posted under the name Rene

I think Jaap's idea is very good - one of the biggest problems is that the internet is not a durable medium and years of advice, discussion and images can be lost at the click of a switch.

Perhaps an appropriate format might be to create a gallery, with one or two of the various people's images shown, maybe with links to others.

The gallery would by it's nature appear from time to time on the forum and would act as a reminder of deceased members' work, without creating an extra category upfront, when we have quite a few already.

Maybe it's also possible that one of the links, either in the gallery mentioned or as a 'sticky', might lead to a further section of names and photographs, rather as has been done with Bill's presentation, forum rules and similar.

Robert,

I agree that perhaps a sticky thread in the news section might be the way to go on this. Also, as we seem to be running at close to a book a year, maybe an "In Memoriam" fly page at the beginning of the book for those members who have passed away since the last book.
