My retailer,

the Leica boutique and Camtecphoto in Montreal says they have sold more film last year than any year in recent memory since the Digi Boom.

Film is only now starting to find its groove after the dust starts to settle from the Digi burst.

Well, it's not under pressure then.

Quoted from "Kodak Celebrates 125 Years of Innovation at Photokina", 16 September 2010 - press release.

FILM FOR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

Continuing its ongoing commitment to film photography, Kodak introduced the new KODAK PROFESSIONAL PORTRA 400 Film, featuring the finest grain structure available in a 400 speed color negative film. The new film incorporates technology used in KODAK VISION Motion Picture Film, plus Antenna Dye Sensitization in the cyan and magenta emulsion layers to achieve its unbeatable fine grain. Photographers will appreciate the beautiful, natural skin tones and superb color reproduction of this new film, a long-time trademark of the KODAK PROFESSIONAL PORTRA Film family.

Very Interesting.

In context of the discussion I found this tweet on an interesting article in the British Journal of Photography.

RT @1854 Kodak: "There is a very real resurgence for film" Kodak: "There is a very real resurgence for film" - British Journal of Photography

The survey will close tomorrow.

Dear "RedBaron",

For sure I have seen the copyright notice, and I do not have any intention to infringe on it.

Do you have a specific concern, or am I overlooking something?

With kind regards,

Barend Jan

... it was your comment quoted above I was interested in initially.

Hi Andy,

I know. However, I think that the audiance deserves a more contemplative response, one for which I first will need to do some more homework.

With kind regards,

Barend Jan
