stuny Posted January 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Upon leaving Papua New Guinea we went to NSW in Oz. NSW was experiencing a drought, but unfortunately for us the Blue Mountains seemed to be getting some relief. beramos Posted January 10, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 10, 2007 Great shot Stuart, I love the natural light and the DOF.
stuny Posted January 11, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 11, 2007 Bernardo - Thank you. I generally avoid using flash and seldom bring a flash unit with me (an exception was to catch a tapir at a salt lick at midnight in the Manu rainforest of Peru). This is one of those instances in which the overcast and light rain made for ideal lighting on the flower.
andybarton Posted January 11, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 11, 2007 Which member of your stable did you use for this Stuart?
elansprint72 Posted January 11, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 11, 2007 Stuart, That is a very nice shot, the water really makes it! Cheers, Pete.
stuny Posted January 11, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted January 11, 2007 Pete - thank you. I agree re: the added impact of the water. Andy - On this trip I just had the R8/DMR and the FX01. The latter died in a diving accident, and we almost had a burial at sea. At present my D2 is on its way to Solms, my FZ20 is with a dear friend, so it's just R8/DMR for a bit (though Panasonic is going to help with the replacement of the FX01) Finally, in short answer to your specific question: R8/DMR/28-
