geaibleu Posted September 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Marie (whose husband I am) took advantage of a hot and wet summer to do some sewing for her dolls that had been stored for decades. She asked me to partake in a joint project by photographing and bringing to scale quite a few patterns prior to taking images of the modeling dolls with their new gowns. 2 examples then of a a marvelous summer at home. btw, the Leica flash 58 used with its slave device is a 1st class device. pauledell Posted September 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2010 Geaibleu, Great shots. Lovely colors, sharpness and lighting. I also like the background. I think I would like to give tabletop photography a shot. I've seen some terrific work done with a D-Lux 4 so I might try it too. Paul
geaibleu Posted September 14, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted September 14, 2010 Thank you both for sharing our "joint venture". The difficult part was indeed to find the right proportions for printing Marie's patterns into usable new ones. New scale was about 1.782 of the original Barbie... Furthermore, attempting to use the M 90 "macro" proved to be quite a challenge with the M8. Paul, being retired, and thus not having to attend convocation anymore I recycled my academic gown into a black background...
