jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2010 It is just a bid - it will go a lot higher...
baita Posted September 10, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 10, 2010 a lot higher?? how much in your opinion? thank'you.
jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 10, 2010 I have no idea. It is a collectors item, not a user camera, so if two collectors want it....It hasn't reached its reserve yet.
baita Posted September 10, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted September 10, 2010 But it' is ok also for a user camer? it's true?
jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 10, 2010 There are one or two things that need clearing. For one thing, it is the first time he is selling something like this. The image with the auction shows a bunch of cameras and lenses. At least he should provide some clear images of the camera before you bid. But you will certainly pay too much for this as a user camera.
baita Posted September 10, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted September 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) the camera in the bid is only the m7!
jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 10, 2010 Why don't you look in the buy and sell here? There is an as-new M7 for sale, amongst a number of other attractive cameras. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/market/listing/2468/M7_neuwertig_mit_MPSucher.html http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/market/listing/2417/Leica_M7_072.html
juergen Posted September 10, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 10, 2010 The engraving "Betriebsk." tells you that this camera was a demonstration model or was used inside Leica. I doubt that this is good enough to make it a collectible. You can read more about it HERE The actual bid price is at Euro 1.060,00. For 35,00 Euro more you can ge a brand new M6 with a 2 Year warranty. Have a look HERE Juergen
jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #10 Posted September 10, 2010 No, it does not mean it is a demo. Those are not engraved. It means it is a factory camera. Anyway, I doubt that this auction will stop short of 2000 Euro, maybe even considerably more as it is already in the collectors circuit, according to the listing. So it pays to look elsewhere, if one wants a user M7.
jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #11 Posted September 10, 2010 the camera in the bid is only the m7!Still, I would not bid on any such item without contacting the seller, unless he is a regular seller of such items. This one has only got feedback as a buyer.

jaapv Posted September 10, 2010 Share #13 Posted September 10, 2010 That sounds good. So put in an automatic bid for the maximum you are willing to pay. You'll get it - or not. Personally, however, I would go for the 1500 Euro one on this forum.
