Leica Summarit 50mm on M9

I am about ready to pull the trigger on a used Leica Summarit 50mm for my M9,

Before I do so, any opinions about the combination? sharpness, etc.

I would be interested to see your results since I have the lens but have never used it.

 

And I do not have a digital Leica.

I used one for a few days loaned to me by my dealer while I waited for my 50mm Summilux to arrive. It's a wonderful lens, sharp, medium contrast, and there's every pleasant "creamy" feel to the images, as with the 35mm Summarit. Unfortunately I don't have any images at hand to post.

IMO great value for money, go for it!

If it's any help, I have the 75mm Summarit and really love it on both the M8 and M9.

Which Summarit? The new 2.5 lens or the old 1.5 one?

Thanks everyone.

I decided to go for it,

So now I have the 28, 35, 50, and 75 summarit. Im set.

I really wanted to keep my M9 kit as small as possible.
