elansprint72 Posted August 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) At the Oulton Park Gold Cup today someone dropped all his oil over the course of a lap and a half, in other words about three and a half miles. Before racing could resume the track marshals had to put down absorbent powder along the slick. These folks are all volunteers, without whom motor- racing could not take place. Their Chief asked me why I was photographing his team- "Because no-one ever does" was my reply.

stuny Posted August 30, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 30, 2010 Pete - Let me know if you want this moved to the People section -- These are excellent (#1 especially) and deserve to be seen by more people than the few of us that visit here. Love the color, depth and detail.
USA road racer Posted September 20, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 20, 2010 Very nice photos! You don't see many like those right from the track! But I wish I had a dollar for every time I did this at tracks here in the USA! Retired now from marshaling. Must have my sanity checked as I'm now a Steward!!
