kuau Posted August 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am looking to buy another battery for my m9 but all the usual places are all out of stock. Are any of the "3rd party" batteries any good that are sold ebay? Steven

sblutter Posted August 29, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 29, 2010 I got 2 different 3rd party batteries, 1400 & 1900mAh (which I hope won't void the warranty!) The 1400 is just as good as the orig, the 1900 stopped being able to be fully charged according to the body's info button That said, they both outlast one of my typical street shooting sessions - 100 > 200 uncompressed DNG frames without any writing errors I found them online - about $50 ea. from battery sites. I don't recall which, searching for 'leica m8 battery' will get you several results to choose from. To me their fine as affordable back-ups.

Stephen.s1 Posted August 30, 2010 Share #5 Posted August 30, 2010 I was quite disappointed in my 3rd party 1900ma battery. It went flat very quickly... Threw it out. YMMV
