elansprint72 Posted August 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) River Fal, Cornwall. The ship on the right seems to have been "unbolted" into three pieces and the middle section taken away leaving the bow and stern sections! It is (was?) some sort of car transportation ship. stuny Posted August 23, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2010 Pete - A fun shot, but are you certain it wasn't just a magician one-upping the sawing the lady in half illusion?
elansprint72 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2010 After a little investigation I find that I was looking at the front end of one ship and the back end of another! These car-carriers are quite short in length. There seems to be quite a lot of free-board and very little under the water when they are unladen. Evidently some of the skeleton crews on these ships have not been ashore for months and are virtual prisoners.

Well... they probably don't eat very much, so don't need to go shopping - and, in any case, you wouldn't want them wandering around frightening the children...
