William Jones Posted July 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I used the 100mm Apo-Macro Elmarit with ROM - Exif readout stated 0 mm focal length. I await correction in next firmware.

graeme_clarke Posted July 10, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 10, 2006 William - Strange - just checked some recent shots - exif data reads 100mm and 280mm from the f2.8 100macro and f4 280mm respectively (both rom lenses). Both zooms I have (21-35 and 28-90) read 0mm. On previous posts several folk have said its because they don't send the actual focal length used - they only indicate the aperture selected. Best wishes, Graeme
bono0272 Posted July 11, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 11, 2006 I shot with a 180mm F2.8 APO ROM on a R8+DMR just on Sunday. Still the EXIF reads 0mm in the focal length section. The aperture and shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation etc. are all recorded but just not the focal length. Strange?
bono0272 Posted July 16, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 16, 2006 Clean the contacts on both my R8 and the 180mm ROM, then try again. Still no focal length information in the EXIF.
