I, for one, fail to see the human interest in this snapshot. Do you have a particular reason for showing it to us? Was it a very expensive bit of your engine?

you think that's bad? . . . in the olden days, i blew a freeze plug in my 1960 MkII Jag (at 2X the speed limit) and they couldn't even find the piston rings when they torn it down.

PS . . . nice capture, but i was expecting more emotional content . . . perhaps next time, huh?

Dave already said "nice capture" but it truly is nearly great. A few points: Consider rotating it a bit counter- clockwise, and maybe centering the center piston. I think you might also consider a bit more dof if you have a chance for a reshoot. Is this lit with a flash? It seems maybe the lens hood is making a shadow on the lower portion of this otherwise nearly great capture. Where was this taken? Any info on camera, lens, f-stop? Thanks!
