Derek Parker Posted August 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) We are having difficulty understanding how bracketing works (the Leica instruction book not being written for idiots). Having set the sequence, we can't discover how to instruct the camera to take the 5 or 7 shots required for the bracketing; pressing the trigger simply results in one shot. Pressing it five times results in five absolutely similar shots unless we alter the sequence each time. This seems an impossible idea. Does anyone know where the actions required are simply set out in a, b, c form rather than in technical language? Many thanks.

Guest WPalank Posted August 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2010 Set (button)> Bracketing (On). Push Shutter Button once....... Quite nicely explained on page 139 of the manual. (I'm half way around the world in the hotel lobby with my iPad, my camera is up in the room and I was able to confirm the info on the M9 PDF I had downloaded to the device. Basically called a bafoon by some for taking the time to do so....)
250swb Posted August 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 1, 2010 Are you pressing the 'Set' button to comfirm you have chosen bracketing after you've scrolled down the Set menu(its an annoying extra press that can be forgotten)? Are you in single shot mode (perhaps counter intuitive, but one press of the shutter will set the sequence off, but it won't work if you are in 'continuous' mode)?
