semrich Posted July 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) My first release 20" Intel iMac is getting a little long in the tooth and I'm considering replacing it with the new Mac Mini and getting a better monitor for PP. I've heard of Eizo and the guy here in Istanbul who does ink jet prints for me suggests getting a Quato monitor. He has both and says the Quato is better, though he also deals in hardware and can get me either one. Can anyone shed some light on this from an experience perspective of using either of these? Of course to make matters more difficult Apple just announced the new Cinema dislpays. I would appreciate any and all input.

Jeff S Posted July 30, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2010 Eizo certainly is highly rated and recommended by many here. I opted for the less expensive, but still terrific, NEC 24" MultiSync with built-in Spectraview. Sean Reid reviewed and recommended it, and I haven't been disappointed. wda Posted July 30, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2010 I work with a pair of Eizo monitors to my complete satisfaction. In-built calibration linkage makes routing calibration quick and easy. My main and younger monitor is the CG243W. I use my older one as part of a two monitor setup but my main one is for critical work; the second in a support role.
