h_A_Z Posted July 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just wondering for those who owns this bag? Will it fit a Leica M6 TTL with 1 lens and a 5dmk2 with 35L? There is no photo shops around my area which allows me to see if it fits. Thanks guys
Advertisement Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Hi h_A_Z, Take a look here Domke F803. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
michali Posted July 27, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2010 The Domke F803 is my favorite camera bag! I can't tell you about the 5dmk2, I don't know what it is:confused: I can however tell you that it can take 2X M9s with a 35mm & 50mm lenses fitted and a lens or 2 in the middle division, and an iPad in the rear pocket. Not to mention spare batteries & mobile phone & chargers in the front pockets, all in a very compact bag. Hope this helps you......
hoppyman Posted July 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2010 I hope that this may be useful. This one is lined with a lens wrap and I've used standard velcroed dividers from other bags, so I can configure it as desired. Camera with lens plus two lens stacks and a small extra compartment in this case. Welcome, dear visitor! There is no photo shops around my area which allows me to see if it fits. Thanks guys I own the J803 which is the same bag but in ballistic nylon, and I own a 5DMk1 which is the same size as the MK2. I don't own a 35L, just the 35/2, but I have an 85/1.8 which I guess is close in size to the 35/1.4. The Canon setup fits in the bag ok by itself, although it does make the bag squat and paunchy vs trim and slim. I tried getting my M4 (same size as M6) with 35 Summicron in there along with the Canon, which is possible with the Canon endwise, but it really stretches the bag to it's limit. My opinion the 803's advantage is it hugs close to the body, and once you deform it into a rectangle you might as well use a different bag that's already shaped that way. peter_n Posted July 28, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 28, 2010 Just wondering for those who owns this bag? Will it fit a Leica M6 TTL with 1 lens and a 5dmk2 with 35L?My F-803 (Safrotto version) will comfortably take a Leica M + 50 and my Fuji S5 + 35/1.8 DX (the Fuji uses a D200 body). So I think your gear will fit even though your dSLR has a slightly larger body than mine.

Good point about the height of the body though, my S5 does the same thing to the bag. It is a tight fit. Have you considered the Domke F-802 which is a bigger version of the F-803? It is still a satchel though, narrow in shape and would also bulge. When I carry my S5 I use my Domke F-2 bag.
Falstaff Posted July 28, 2010 Share #7 Posted July 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The J803 is bigger than the F803. I have the F803 and it will take two M's plus a lens or two. It will also take my Nikon F4 which is big, but not enough room for an M plus lenses. Also, with the Nikon, it does bulge quite a bit. You may want to look for something which is not as narrow for the Canon, although width and height will be fine. Domke line will have something to accommodate that. Hoppyman's picture is spot on and you can arrange the dividers any way you like. Good luck. Falstaff
