Having battled some strange health stuff (like a 2 year bout of valley fever - thanks arizona!), and seemingly recovered...this was my first chance to really get out of phoenix since I've had it.. I hope to explore more.

Some of my next shots I hope to come from Jerome, Vulture Mines near Page, airplane graveyard, slot canyon....

Edward,

Looking forward to them, keep 'em coming!

Valley fever sounds nasty, though I havent heard of it!

Glad you recovered! :D

yagit80,

It has been a while since I posted here. I was just looking at all the photographs above and I noticed something that ties them all together. Please, tell me if you think this is true or not: I think that all of these X1 photos have an organic, liquid quality to them. It is almost indescribable, especially because I am looking at these photos on a computer screen, but nevertheless, I feel like they have this liquid quality to them.

Yes David.. creamy. That's the thing!!

I did however shoot a few today for an attempt at something.. completely different. Deliberately high contrast bw at iso 3200.. not sure if I am willing to share them here at this point.. i'll consider.. but the users, generally here, I don't think would appreciate the subject.. or understand it (probably due to my lack of conveying it properly).. nonetheless.. it is very organic.. I guess a combination of lens and sensor.
