chris_tribble Posted July 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have absolutely no personal interest in this - but simply thought people here might like to know... I was in RG Lewis in London to drop off my M9 with the RF problem and noticed that they have a 3 month old black M9 for sale at £4000 + a range of lenses (WATE, 35 cron / 50 lux + maybe something else) - all for excellent prices. It's the first used M9 they've had - so the market is just starting. If you've not been able to get a body I'd strongly recommend looking at this (Passport also still active). Best of luck... Advertisement Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hi chris_tribble, Take a look here used mint M9 + various lens for sale. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
exile Posted July 26, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2010 Is this website still under construction? No items are listed on their used page. Nor are there any prices stated in the new Leica lens pages. Seems a little strange for London's "oldest leica specialist".
gravastar Posted July 26, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 26, 2010 I'm afraid their website is not their strongest point. They are a very old and well established Leica dealer and offer excellent service. They tend to deal with people on a personal basis and it's always best to phone them to discuss what you need. . The proprietor Len Lyons has a knack for obtaining those difficult and short supply items. Bob.

When I asked one of Len's colleagues about the likelihood of getting a new 35 Summilux without a long wait, he thought 'it shouldn't be a problem'. Ivor at Red Dot laughs about his present back-orders which he thinks will run well into 2011 .
chris_tribble Posted July 26, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted July 26, 2010 Hi - agreed that the website isn't up to anything , but the kit was definitely there at that price. Can't remember if there was a 35 lux - I think not.
john cleland Posted July 27, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 27, 2010 Rang up this morning but the 50mm Lux had gone - thanks for the heads up though - really useful when people help out like this.
chris_tribble Posted July 28, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted July 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) sorry about that For those who are out looking for second hand M stuff, it's worth remembering that not all the dealers either have great websites or update them regularly. I'd recommend ringing around a few key dealers in your region once every couple of weeks if you're seriously looking for something. It's surprising what you can turn up.
