Experience Artisan & Artists bags

Hello!

I have the Oscar bag from Artisan & Artist since four or five years. They are lightweight, relatively protective and most comfortable to carry on the shoulder on a long day of walking in a city.

I also have the Thinktank Retrospective 5 which is also very well made, heavier, and somewhat less confortable. Dare I say it is a more "boxy" bag...

I guess a choice of bag is as personal as a pair of shoes?

I mainly use a liteBag2 from König in Germany. Very light, water protection and stable.

No problem to have in it my M9 plus 4 lenses. Additional room is still available.

There are two variations of this liteBag2, one for Leica M System, one for DSLRs.

I had to order mine it in Germany directly, because there was no retailer in Austria.

If interested, this link is to the König site (in German):

i've ordered a ACAM-7000 twice and had to send it back twice. I love their style as they just look really good and like the feel of the canvas material.

but:

-padded insert much too thick for my taste

-red color insert too shiny imo

-strap MUCH too short. I would at least need 20-30 cm more strap length. probably even 40. these bags are designed for small japanese people, not a 204cm tall guy

-fixed shoulder pad is something I really didnt like

-velcro seems just insanely loud compared to other velcro bags I had. the BBB-E is worlds apart in terms of silence level

-cost way too much in Germany. I bought a hadley large from billingham for 175€, the ACAM-7000 is 100€ more. i dont have the feeling that i pay for a better quality, rather for a designer product, carrying a name
