IPad as secondary display for MacBook

... with the Ipad App Air display it is possible to use the ipad as a secondary Display with LR. For me it is quite helpfull as my Mac Book only has a 13 ' display.

The connection is done via WLan.

Hi great tip! I could be intrested! Could you please tell us more exactly the name of the app. There are tons Of apps called air-something.

... the Name of the app is Air Display from Avatron Software

It is about 8 Euros. The installation is quite simple.

You download a program on your Mac, that connects to the app. The control of the ipad is done with the regular apple settings. The navigation on the ipad can still be done by touching the screen.

Looks like a useful app - what's it like to use in practice? Is it laggy or is there a sufficient refresh rate to be able to do normal computing?

 

 

Yes there is a little delay. It remindet me of the VNC Software.

 

For me it is acceptable but it depends on your personal taste.
