Hi guys,

I have hand coded my voigtlander 21mm and it works perfectly.

I am trying the same on my voigtlander 40mm nokton but it just does not come up as recognised.

Is their anywhere here in the UK where I can simply get a precoded replacement flange for this lens as I believe there is in the US?

I'll keep trying with the hand coding but it's good to know if their is a local option if need be.

Thank you,

Marc

The code must match the frame selected - on a 40mm Nokton this means you either code it as a 50mm or file the frame selector (to select the 35mm frame) and code it as 35mm.

Lenses at 35mm and longer should not need coding!

As V64 says. I think you can check this by coding the lens as either a 35 or 50 and then using the frame preview leaver to bring up and hold the corresponding frame while you switch the camera on.

Hi guys,

It shows up the 35mm framelines already...I bought it used so am assuming it has been previousley filed down.

So assuming as a 40mm lens it's not going to suffer the corner colouring I'm also assuming therefore it's best to have the lens detection set to off?

Thanks,

Marc

I had just set up a second under profile with the only difference being the lens detection as this seemed the quickest way to change...but if it makes no difference to the image quality then that is even better!

After shooting large and medium format (slr and rangefinder) for my project work for years I'm finding it quite liberating shooting with a small sized rangefinder.

Thanks,

Marc
