stunsworth Posted July 9, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Took this late last year. Within an hour the mist had lifted, though I don't remember it being too sunny :-) Canon 5D, 50mm Summicron

arthury Posted July 10, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 10, 2006 Lovely mist and intense mood. I'm curious where you metered or did you use matrix-metering and adjusted it manually? Nicely done!
hm1912 Posted July 10, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 10, 2006 A very moody and contrasty image. The composition with the whit "boats" on the right really help add to the life of the image. Thanks for sharing.
stunsworth Posted July 10, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted July 10, 2006 Thanks for the comments. Arthur, I shot on aperture prioity without any adjustment other than the -2/3rd stop compensation I dial in when shooting with R lenses on the 5D. I believe that that the 5D shoots with centre weighted metering when a non-coupled lens is being used. To be honest it was so grey that I didn't anticipate any metering problems anyway. andybarton Posted July 10, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 10, 2006 I really like this shot and it is a great reminder to get up earlier in the morning - especially when it's cold and misty...
