agro Posted July 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Everyone, I have looked about, but can not find anything which could explain what is happening with my M8. When "play mode" is activated it advances itself to the next image, runs through a few shots and stops for a while, then runs again. The camera behaves like the "next" button would be stuck. When I zoom into a particular image it moves the zoomed window to the right of the image, again like the "next" button would be stuck. I'm a little concerned it might be a hardware issue. I live is Sydney and sending the M8 back to Germany is little disheartening. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Agro

Nicoleica Posted July 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi, It sounds to me as though one of the little arrow buttons may be sticking. Have you tried holding the carea at various angles and gently tapping the end nearest the control wheel, and puffing around the buttons with a blower brush? This might be able dislodge any loose contaminant that could be shorting, or preventing the button from releasing. Otherwise I suspect it might be time for a trip to a repair centre. agro Posted July 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted July 4, 2010 Nicole, YOU ARE A GENIUS! It worked, your suggestion really worked. I did tap the button and used the blower. I am one very happy man. Don't know how to thank you Nicole, so I hope you like tulips. Most profound thanks! Agro
Nicoleica Posted July 4, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2010 Thanks Agro, I love Tulips. I'm happy to hear that my suggestion worked. It's amazing how much trouble a little piece of debris can cause when it gets into the wrong place.
