fbraakman Posted July 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I am a new M9 owner, just having received my black yesterday, after 6 months of anticipation! I am now happy and content. However, as with all new toys, I do have a question regarding color space setup. I cannot seem to get into the menu selection for color management. It is grayed out. I exited out of the default "snapshot" mode, and selected "profile 1". Does this choice somehow prevent me from selecting the color space ? Thanks for the advice. fred

250swb Posted July 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 1, 2010 You can only set the colour space if you are in JPEG mode. If you are using DNG you set the colour space in your RAW conversion software, DNG files not having a set colour space until then Steve
Guest WPalank Posted July 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 1, 2010 The color space only pertains to the Jpeg file. Since you are obviously shooting DNG only, the menu is unavailable. You choose the color space for the Raw or DNG file in the Raw converter.

glacierparkmagazine Posted July 2, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2010 Fred, you also might want to shoot in .jpg and dng mode. It will preview the .jpgs, which gives you a good idea of the color, based on your settings. I generally shoot both, and set the the .jpgs on medium high or high saturation. Talk about green greens.
