oskarhhh Posted June 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! Yesterday I was out taking photos in strong sunlight. I saw a green colorfield 1/3 of the wiew, for about a second in the finder then it disappeared. Can this happen when its strong sunlight? or is my sensor bad? I`ve not seen the green field since Thanks.
Advertisement Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hi oskarhhh, Take a look here Is my D2 sensor about to fail?? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Maarten Posted June 30, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2010 What you describe is an effect of the strong sunlight. To my knowledge and experience it is not related to a failing sensor. What I remember: you don't see the sensor failing in the viewfinder, instead from one moment to the other the review of your picture looks weird with false colors and colored bands. Relax, Maarten
dovla Posted June 30, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 30, 2010 I had green lines on my screen in strong sun light. Don't think its your sensor.
John Thawley Posted July 1, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2010 It's just the weakest link in the Digilux 2; the EVF... electronic view finder. The blast of light can send the video signal into a frenzy. This is one of the few times that you benefit from "What you see is NOT what you get." It's a tribute to the camera that you ultimate learn to have faith in its output and can ignore what happens in the EVF. LOL JT
