The Ferrari showroom and boutique on Park Avenue at 55th Street had their grand opening yesterday. You might recall my mentioning when I visited last week two of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen were there to be interviewed/auditioned for the grand opening. Pete indicated that I should stop showing the cars and don’t come back until I had pictures of the models. I’m sorry Pete. They must have used different hiring criteria than I would so I did not bother getting their pictures. However, this wonderful 1959 250 California roadster was there, along with a mint 288 GTO and the new 599 GTO. Below are images of the vintage California as well as two shots of the 458 Italia. that's my colleague Alan in the blue shirt beind the 250. For the Italia I desaturated just enough to remove the objectionable effect of the mixed lighting, but still keep the yellow in the Ferrari crest and brake calipers.

The vintage California would probably sell today for between $8MM and $12MM.

Stuart

Super shots, thay look so nice.

But..........

Wonderful women. Who cares about cars!:)

(I don't drive, never have done, so have no interest in cars)

And I've now gat a free bus pass - well that gives the age away.

Cheers

Wow! Just beautiful. I remember when a California like this was almost affordable (well, not to me at the time except in my dreams). Also nice to see one that isn't "resale red". I remember Denise McCluggage racing one at Meadowdale. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Pete - I am truly sorry, but if you go to the peopel section and look at Tri's Emma photos you'll porbably feel at least somewhat better.
