Visoflex III question

Recently acquired a visoflex III on the bay. The instructions say that when the knob on the side is set to the yellow dot, the mirror will swing up out of the way when the shutter button is pressed. This unfortunately doesn't happen. If I use a release screwed into the receiver I can make it go up, or if I turn the knob it goes up. How do I make it go up with the shutter button?

Thanks for the input

I've had the same problem with a Viso III. The Visoflex workerd as it should when I set the knob on either the red or the black dot, but the yellow setting didn't function. I just tried the release arm of the Visoflex many times and after a while it began to work as it should. Perhaps yours hasn't been used for quite a while and got stuck. Try the release arm several times and see what happens. If that doesn't get result you may consult a technician.

thanks

The release arm doesn't seem to have any kind of feel to it other than loose movement, but I"ll keep trying. Something works because I can trigger it with the cable.

You should feel some spring tension in the arm when you push it down.

Moving to the Red dot, you should see the arm go down and the mirror stay up.

Moving to Black the mirror should be down and rise early and gently when you push the lever down (before the camera shutter releases)

Moving to yellow, you should see the mirror flip up quickly just before shutter release.

Hoppy and JC

There is no tension on the release, must be a broken or disconnected spring. Otherwise the mirror would fly up. I'll contact DAG and see what they say.

Thanks
