Advertisement Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi redbaron, Take a look here Firmware is on its way !?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
efix Posted July 5, 2010 Share #162 Posted July 5, 2010 Y'know, what? I sincerely hope you are right. However, this was posted by Leica Camera on Facebook today at 10:00: "Leica will present all new products at the "Ateliers SNCF" in Arles and await you on July 6 in the antique theater for the Oskar Barnack Award projection." Followed quickly by: "let me reformulate that: Arles will be too early for the new firmawares and certainly for any brand new product but will give you a chance to put your hands on those nice products for which the waiting line is pretty long!" Regards, Bill Which only means the new firmware won't be released tomorrow. But with each day that passes after tomorrow, chances we'll see it increment substantially :-)

Cyril Jayant Posted July 5, 2010 Share #164 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi Every one! I am a Brand-New Commer to your forum and found it the most wonderful treat that I ever had since I joined it.there's ennomous wealth of knowledges and experience to shere. I thank every one sincerely for sharing all knowledge etc. My involvment to the forum led me to find to get in to the digital photography through M8. As I bought it after paying some mony I faced immediately (2 days after) that famous issue on the shutter. So it went to the place where it was born and came back to me. So I notice my firmware is 2005 or some thing...which I didn't checked yet to the old thing I had as 2004 . But I guess there's some thing coming up guys!!!!!!!!::

I double checked now when I came back home.My Camera is now having the firmware 2.005 now and before I send it back to Maison de Leica in Germany it read as 2.004. I did not take much notice though as I have noticed the firmware is changed in Nos. but none of the old features are changed, nothing new has been added. mjh Posted July 6, 2010 Share #173 Posted July 6, 2010 Well that sucks, I guess it's just a fix for the shutter issue.. “Just”? No new features were to be expected in a firmware update but a bug fix was (and would certainly be welcome).
