gdi Posted June 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am having a hard time coding a couple of cv lenses for my M9. They worked fine with the M8; I am using an M-coder. I think it may be a problem with the darkness of the ink used or a tighter fit adapter to flange - the ink rubs off very quickly with the M9. I did get the M9 to recognize my CV 35/2.5 - the problem is that it thought it was a 14mm f/3.8! I am thinking I may just replace my adapters with new Voigtlander ones with a recess - any tips or experiences in this area are welcome - thanks. 250swb Posted June 15, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2010 You need to use black paint with the M9, markers are not opaque enough, and as paint is thicker than a marker it will wear off even quicker and gum up the coding sensor. So you could either grind the coding marks into the flange of the adapter if there is material available in that area of the flange, or get the recessed adapters so you just need to fill the grooves with paint. Steve Thanks - do you know where to find ordering info on the recessed Voigtlander adapters? I can't find it on the CQ site...
