ASNYC Posted June 14, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted June 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I always have original Leica products for my M8, D-Lux4 and X1 but I got this yesterday as a present from ebay. (U$16) Â Unbelievable but it is giving more shots than the Leica one...

There was a thread on here some time ago with a link to an article where various cheap batteries were stripped down and compared to the genuine article. Try to search for it, interesting reading! ASNYC Posted June 14, 2010 Author Share #4 Â Posted June 14, 2010 that is true James and that is why I always buy original Leica products. It is too bad that the original batteries are so expensive but at the end these ones from ebay are going to die soon...
h00ligan Posted June 14, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted June 14, 2010 Not always, a friend and I both bought Chinese charger/battery combos for canon. Mine holds a better charge than the original did new, my friend is on the same oak going on 5 years now. Agreed the sampling can vary greatly though. Â If the battery is any good, there will probably be a few user reviews on the Web. It's a good idea to read the user reviews thoroughly. In the case of some products I can think of (anything by Sony, computers by HP, and cellphones by Motorola), third-party batteries are nearly always going to be better, unless they're a really bad brand.
