Fotomiguel Posted June 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) What happen to the batterie if I forget it in the charger for a couple of days? I guess that it's not too bad but may be is better to take it out just when the charging process has finished.

lars_bergquist Posted June 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 8, 2010 The charging process is terminated when the internal electronics of the battery signals that it is completed. So the battery is not damaged. The charger does presumably continue to draw current through its primary winding however, so it is sensible not to let it cook for days on end. Fotomiguel Posted June 9, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted June 9, 2010 Thank you, Lars It has happened to me one time. My batterie seems to be ok but as you has written, should be not very good to the batterie. I'll make sure that not happen again. lars_bergquist Posted June 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 10, 2010 Correction! I did check, and the primary too does in fact cut out when charging is complete. So you can leave the thing connected for an overnight charge without any problems. The old man from the Age of Lead-Acid Batteries
