Guest polylux Posted June 14, 2010 Share #23 Â Posted June 14, 2010 I'll bet the next questions are: No sex as an asset, rather than the lack of it. And: No money as an asset, rather than the lack of some. Lol.
Guest badbob Posted June 14, 2010 Share #24 Â Posted June 14, 2010 I'll bet the next questions are: No sex as an asset, rather than the lack of it. And: No money as an asset, rather than the lack of some. Lol. Â How true. Someone on Silicon Valley news was saying that 700-year lifetimes are in the works now. I commented that I'd rather they give me 700 million dollars, then I can enjoy whatever time I have. Then again, if there were no *urge* for s_x, that would save people loads of time and money. Maybe there's a lesson there: If no urge for zoom, one might get better images by getting into proper position and composing better.

Lol. but the real question is rather: do you prefer a Jack of all focal lengths and master of none or a master of one focal length:)

RichardM8 Posted June 19, 2010 Share #27 Â Posted June 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) If they made a zoom lens the same size as the 35mm that was the exact quality, everyone would want it. Â 'Slight' problem here is that such a lens doesn't exist and is impossible to make... Â Â I praise Leica for the lens choice they made. Probably the most versatile focal length with stellar IQ. The only small wish I could have would be a little more speed. f/2.0 would be really nice. But then, size and price would rear their ugly heads... Â I think we should stop wishing the X1 was even more of a small and cheap M9. Given its price and size I feel it's a quite a long way in that direction already. Don't forget that an M9 with a 'modest' 35 Summarit already costs more than 3 x as much as the X1.

Here in the U.S. it's more than 4 times (about $9k to $10k, compared to $2k).
