Walt Calahan Posted June 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 4, 2010 That's the cream of the crop! Grin. Beautiful image. Milk it for all it's worth. HA!
DSchmidt Posted June 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks Walt! But I'm starting to think this is a better shot. Opinions?
Louis Posted June 4, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 4, 2010 Beautiful shots, Dave. I like both of them very much. each has a different mood and each works very well! (For the second one, I would not do the vignette so tight; more espace around the subject would look better for the composition!) Ben and Jerry would be very proud of you! Walt Calahan Posted June 4, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 4, 2010 First image is stronger with the centered cow and barn/silo in background. Better tension and, as I say to my students, a picture is better when it gives the viewer more questions to think about then answers.
DSchmidt Posted June 4, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks Louis and Walt. I liked the 1st one better myself, but often others see it differently than I do. ;-)
pauledell Posted June 4, 2010 Share #7 Posted June 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dave, Thie first shot is my favorite. Great composition, subtle colors, clarity and mood. A wonderful pastoral scene. Paul
drdannn Posted June 4, 2010 Share #8 Posted June 4, 2010 I like the first shot for it's mood and colors. I would like to see the second shot without the vignette .
