Tom M Posted May 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Gentlemen, I wonder if one of you would be kind enough to share a pdf file of the Leica technical data for the Summicron-M 90mm (pre-aspherical) lens. I have this lens and I am quite happy with it. I am in the process of organizing my data, but unfortunately, it is not available on the Leica site anymore. Many thanks, Tom
Advertisement Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hi Tom M, Take a look here Leica Summicron M 90mm (pre-ASPH) tech data, SVP. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tgray Posted June 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2010 I'd be interested in getting a copy too if any one has it.
adan Posted June 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 1, 2010 Wishing you both luck on getting the actual Leica technical sheets. In the meantime, some data for the 90 pre-ASPH is available in the pdf document Leica M-Lenses - Their Soul and Secrets for which there is a link here: Leica Camera AG - Downloads Page 70-71 (depending on whether you go by the pdf page numbering or the original document page numbering) - MTF charts and optical X-section. Weight was 490g for basic black.

menos I M6 Posted June 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 1, 2010 I did also look for it, but didn't find it. Information including MTF charts, if wanted though can be found in Erwin Puts' Leica lens compendium, which is available as a pdf file. "Erwin Puts - Leica M-Lenses - Their Soul and Secrets_en.pdf" I actually used his information, to free myself from prejudices regarding the pre ASPH version, which I ended up buying instead of a APO, which I didn't like as much. EDIT: [Andy, I should reload old browser windows from time to time, I guess ;-) ]
Tom M Posted June 1, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted June 1, 2010 Thank you, all. Perhaps, the tech data sheet for the Summicron-M 90mm f2 will surface. In the interim, if the data sheet for the Summilux 75mm f1.4 is of interest, please contact me directly. Thanks, Andy, for indicating Put's Leica lens essay. The link is here us.leica-camera.com/assets/file/download.php?filename=file_1742.pdf Regards, Tom
