Jamie:

I don't know if my prints are still being used in the road shows (or if they will make it to Toronto) but if so, they are 20"x30"s from MP scans, M8.2 and M9... I will check with Justin if this is the case...

Cheers,

Thanks Riccis--it will be good to know there are some great prints there... makes it easier on me for sure :)

Hey Jamie, please give us a full report after the Roadshow. We've heard from people who attended but as far as I know not from a presenter with his impressions.

Kent

Hey Kent--happy to do that... I'll only be in for the afternoon though, so I'm going to miss a lot of the presentation by Leica.

Jamie;

Probably too late, but to me (onetime "professional" - paid my way through university; lots of darkroom work over the years) I found our friend Overgards' last page on how he shoots his M cameras to be really interesting.

Was thinking about the Montreal Roadshow, but with travel, and vacations, decided against it.

Hope it goes/went well;

JohnS.

Jamie,

Your presentation was great.

It was refreshing to view your introduction slide show and to hear your comments about how you approach your craft. I wish you well and much success.

The Road Show presentation and yours made it a good afternoon for all I would say.

Regards,

Turner

Ditto. Plus Jamie, your slideshow at the beginning really jazz things up a notch and love your b/w print with the M9, talk about the perfect moment. Once again thanks for sharing your experience with us this afternoon.

@ loman--sorry, I was busy preparing (and injuring myself as it turned out--I showed up in Toronto with a shiner) so I missed your post. I hope you got the information you needed; it's at Leica's site.

@ Turner--thanks for the kind words; I had a blast presenting today and I'm happy for the opportunity to talk about the M cameras.

@ Ed--great to meet you, too, and thanks for your comments! And I'm glad the prints and slideshow worked; you never know with computers :)

Jamie, glad to hear it went well. How did you like the Pradovit D1200? Pretty sweet machine eh! I'm really looking forward to presenting on Saturday, should be a blast. Nothing generates excitement like a gathering of M shooters. How many participants did you have in Toronto?

Hey Jeff--

Yes, that projector was great, it's true... unfortunately, my crummy Toshiba laptop will only drive a 16:9 relatively low-res slide show, but it was still good, IMO.... always happy when multimedia works without a dry run ;)

We had about 15 people there by the time I got there in the afternoon. A great bunch of folks, though--very supportive and interested, too.

Break a leg yourself!

Cheers for the feedback Jamie, glad it went well. As an aside, if you are doing a lot of projection, I would highly recommend Fotomagico. It will allow you to customize the aspect ratio and resolution of your slide show independent of your laptop monitor. You simply specify the type and resolution of the output device, which in this case would be the Pradovit at 1920 x 1200. When the device is detected, you are then able to project at the full resolution of the Pradovit, bypassing the limitations of your video card. The app is reasonably priced as well.

Jeff--I will look into it... so thanks!

EDIT: I did look into it, and Fotomagico won't solve the problem I had. PM sent :)

I still think the projector did a very good job with my slideshow!

Jamie, thanks for the clarification. I should read more carefully before making suggestions. My MacBook will drive the 30" cinema display, so this driver was put into action for the Pradovit. Apologies for my misunderstanding of the issue.
