ravinj Posted May 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tested X1 in low light condition. 7W bulb in landscape lighting. Picture taken at ISO 3200, F2.8. Pictures 1, 2 and 3 are output of the same shot, modified in lightroom. Picture 1: Straight conversion from RAW to JPG. Very close to what I saw with naked eyes. Not bad for a small camera. Picture 2: Auto Tone applied in lightroom. Obvious noise seen. Not sure how it compares to DSLRs like Nikon D300. Picture 3: Auto Tone applied in lightroom and then the curve tweaked a bit. Advertisement Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hi ravinj, Take a look here An Experiment with low light and X1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Tao Posted May 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 31, 2010 The noise probably looks really good in B&W. Give it a go and post some comparisons.
jsrockit Posted June 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 1, 2010 No wonder there is so much noise... if you meter for the light, the dark parts will be very underexposed... adding noise when you change the exposure in lightroom. It is a good sensor, but it isn't magical.
